Shillong is the capital city of Meghalaya state in India. It is well known tourist place as a hill station in northeast India which attracts tourists all over the world.

A colon is used to connect two sentences when the second sentence expands, illustrates, explains, summarizes, or sharpens the first. Both sentences should be complete, and their content should be very closely related.

Example:

This girl has two favorite hobbies: watching movies and seeing how long she can hold her breathe.

From the given circuit,

The resistors R1 and R2 are in parallel connection and R3 is in series with R1 & R2

The equivalent resistance of R1 and R2 is

Req = (12 × 4)/(12 + 4) = 3 Ω.

Adding R3 in series with the pair gives

R = Req + 9

R = 3 + 9

R = 12 Ω.

In each row, the second figure is obtained from the first figure by adding two mutually perpendicular line segments at the centre and the third figure is obtained from the first figure by adding four circles outside the main figure.
