The World Environment Day (WED) is observed every year on June 5 to raise awareness about forests and wider issues of environmental protection. The 2017 theme is ‘Connecting People to Nature’. It implores us to get outdoors and into nature, to appreciate its beauty and to take forward the call to protect the Earth that we share. The host country for the WED 2017 is Canada, where the official celebrations take place.

Stratification as actually the settling down of sediments with different properties to form layers/strata over years. Stratification especially occurs on the bed of water bodies such as oceans.

Stratified sedimentary rocks are used to study the ecological conditions over previous years/eras.  

The other choices like Windstorms, Glacial Ice and Stream water are mediums which sediments are transported.

*  The Gulf of Mexico, bordered by the United States, Mexico, and the island nation of Cuba, is the worlds largest gulf.

*  It has a coastline of about 5,000 kilometers (3,100 miles).

*  The Gulf of Mexico is connected to the Atlantic Ocean by the Straits of Florida, between Cuba and the U.S. state of Florida.

*  It is largely surrounded by the North American continent.
