May Day or Labor Day is celebrated across the world on 1st May every year to mark the eight-hour day labor movement advocated 8 hrs of work, 8 hrs for recreation and 8 hrs for rest. In India, labor day was celebrated on Chennai's Marina Beach in 1923 by Labour Kisan P:arty of Hindustan.
