A computer software are of two types. They are :

1. System software

2. Application software

Systems software includes the operating system and all the utilities that enable the computer to function. 

Application software includes programs that do real work for users.

Hence, Operating system is an example of system software.

The credit of inventing the television goes to Philo Farnsworth. Electronic television was first successfully demonstrated in San Francisco on Sept. 7, 1927.

From the given circuit,

The resistors R1 and R2 are in parallel connection and R3 is in series with R1 & R2

The equivalent resistance of R1 and R2 is

Req = (12 × 4)/(12 + 4) = 3 Ω.

Adding R3 in series with the pair gives

R = Req + 9

R = 3 + 9

R = 12 Ω.

Many toxic gases along with water vapour are emitted in vocanic eruptions. All such toxic gases include hydrochloric acid, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and carbon monoxide. Methane is not produced in the volcanic eruptions.

Bicycle is a compound machine in the above given options. A compound machine is a machine that is formed by two or more simple machines.
