An ignition safety switch is a safety device can shut off the engine if the operator falls off the PWC or out of the powerboat, or is otherwise thrown from the proper operating position.

How it works:

It allows the engine of the vehicle to shut off or to be turned off immediately as it is to prevent further complications to happen as this is being used when an emergency is launched

Where it is used:

Most powerboats and PWCs come equipped by the manufacturer with an emergency engine cut-off switch.

As the win leads to multiplying the amount by 1.5 and loss leads to multiplying the amount by 0.5, we will multiply the initial amount by 1.5 thrice and by 0.5 thrice (in any order).

The overall resultant will remain same.

So final amount with the person will be (in all cases):

= 64(1.5)(1.5)(1.5)(0.5)(0.5)(0.5)= Rs. 27

Hence the final result is: 

64 − 27 = 37

A loss of Rs.37

Why Water Is Not an Element :

An element is a substance consisting of only one type of atom. Water consists of two types of atoms: hydrogen and oxygen.

A compound forms whenever two or more atoms form chemical bonds with each other. The chemical formula for water is H2O, which means each molecule of water consists of one oxygen atom chemically bonded to two hydrogen atoms.

Thus, water is a compound.

It's also a molecule, which is any chemical species formed by two or more atoms chemically bonded to each other. The terms molecule and compound mean the same thing and can be used interchangeably.

Hence, water is both a molecule and a compound.

Let the total number of votes polled in the election be 100k.
Number of valid votes = 100k - 20% (100k) = 80k
Let the number of votes polled in favour of K and L be a and b respectively.
a - b = 15% (100k) => a = b + 15k
=> a + b = b + 15k + b
Now, 2b + 15k = 80k and hence b = 32.5k
It is given that 100k = 8720
32.5k = 32.5k/100k x 8720 = 2834

The number of valid votes polled in favour of L is 2834.

The given series follows the rule,

So starting from 37, 37 + 5 = 42, 42 + 10 = 52, 52 + 15 = 67, 67 + 20 = 87,...
So wrong number is 47 which is to be 42.

Let 'd' kms be the distance it covers.

According to the given data,

Boat takes thrice as much time in going the same distance against the current than going with the current

i.e, d8 - C = 3 × d8 + C
