Social engineering is the art of tricking users into performing certain harmful activities or attacks, users must be trained to identify social engineering. Social engineering attacks typically involve some form of psychological manipulation, fooling otherwise unsuspecting users or employees into handing over confidential or sensitive data. Commonly, social engineering involves email or other communication that invokes urgency, fear, or similar emotions in the victim, leading the victim to promptly reveal sensitive information, click a malicious link, or open a malicious file. The Three Rhetorical Appeals is an argument made by Aristotle in which he states that there are three elements to the art of persuasion: ethos, pathos and logos.

Ethos is the ethical appeal, which intends to persuade the audience of the author's credibility/character.

Logos is the logical appeal, which intends to persuade the audience using reason and logic.

2. Use detailed and recent research in your argument

3. Use professional and appropriate vocabulary

4. Avoid sounding overly emotional

5. Only use first person when talking about personal experience; otherwise, write in third person.
