We know that,  Speed = Distance/time

Let the speed of the train be = x kmph

           NORMAL SPEED                           SPEED 5 KMPH MORE

          Distance = 360 Km                         Distance =360
 
          speed    =  X Kmph                        Speed = (x+5)
 
            Time =360/X                              Time =360/(x+15)
          

For the same journey if the speed increased 10 kmph more it will take 1 hour less

Time with original speed - time with increased speed = 1

 => (360/x) - (360/x+10) =  1                               

 =>  (360(x+5)-360x)/x(x+5) =1

 =>   360X + 1800 -360X  = X(X+5)

  =>   X^2 + 5x - 1800 = 0

  X = 40 or -45

 X cannot be negetive value
                  

 X = 40 kmph.

Educated females in city P = 25 lakhs

Uneducated females in city P = 30 - 25 = 5 lakhs

Educated males city S = 21 lakhs

Educated males in city S = 35 - 21= 14 lakhs

Required difference = 14 - 5 = 9 lakhs

From solving 1 and 2 we get,

Here when a = 3, a > b for b = -2 and b = 1/3

In the first row, 5² + 12² = 13².
In the second row, 8² + 15² = 17².
Let the missing number in the third row be y.
Then y² + 24² = 25² or y² + 576 = 625 or y² = 49 or y = 7.

⇒ 15, 30, 35

Filling efficiency = 5%        

Emptying efficiency = 1.66%  

Net efficiency = 5-1.66 = 3.33%

Therefore, Required time to fil the tub =100/3.33= 30 minutes
