The  plant  growth  regulators  are small,  simple  molecules  of  diversechemical composition. They can be in   form   of   indole   compounds, adenine   derivatives,   carotenoids derivatives,terpenes  or  gases  like ethyleneetc.The   plant   growth regulators  are  bifurcated  into  two groups according to their functions in  a  living  plant  body.First  group of   plant   growth   regulators   are found   in   growth   activities,   for instance,  cell  division,  flowering, fruiting  and  seed  formation.The second   group   of   Plant   growth regulators   are   involved   in   plant responses  to  wounds  and  stresses of biotic and abiotic origin.

The Indian Science Congress – the largest gathering of Indian scientists – was scheduled to be held at Osmania University in Hyderabad from January 3 to 7. For the first time in its history, it was rescheduled to March 16-March 20 and its venue was moved to the Manipur University, Imphal after the Osmania University administration said it would not be able to host the event fearing agitations on campus.

All vehicle insurance policies will now include personal accident cover worth Rs 15 lakh in case of the death of the owner while driving or riding. This new rule will help the families of accident victims especially two-wheeler riders who are most of the time under-insured. The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDAI) in a circular has directed all third-party insurance companies to include this cover to vehicle owners-drivers of all vehicles (two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles) for an additional premium of Rs 750 per year (annual insurance policy). This will now be part of the mandatory insurance cover that is a must for all vehicle owners.
